The are assembled from new original parts at a very reasonable price. Please visit our Distributors page if you are located outside these countries. They simply drilled and tapped the standard clip guide for the rear screw.īrand new ART II scopes are available from Iron Sight in Tulsa. Military M21 sniper rifles using the ART II did not have this part. This was used to make up for variations of tolerances in commercial receivers. The cap screw is there to lock the sleeve in place once the rear mount screw is installed. Im curious too, but part of me doesnt want to know bc Im sure I paid a few multiples of whatever the CMP price was 21 years ago.įWIW, I have a papered M1D, with a USGI 1 M1D mount and USGI Weaver K4 that a long-time collector bought from CMP, I think in either 1995 or 1996, in which I believe the price was only 175 for the combo K4 scope and 1 mount.but today its market price would be approx.Ĭommercial versions of the ART II have a floating sleeve in the replacement for the clip guide. basically know nothing much about pangya but i have played nearly all of a pangya game called ' pangya golf with style ' which i believe to be the european version of ' pangya super swing golf season 1 ' on the wii. i didnt really expect to find anything but found this somewhat dead sub. Just thought Id share these pics for anyone interested in these old M14 scopes. hi everyone, ive only just got reddit and decided to just put pangya in the search bar. I dont think it was done by Bubba, it presumably came from CMP that way. I guess Leatherwoood had a QC issue when they made this part back in the 1980s, or Leatherwood provided the military with some of these rear mounting parts that didnt have the set-screw, and a military armorer drilled and taped these threads slightly off-center. The one one iffy part about this ART II scope is that the part that slides into the rear clip latch guide had the set screw threaded too close to the edge of the part, and hence some threads are still works properly as a set-screw and you cant really see this when the part is installed, but looks kind-of bad, IMO. Id like an ART I to make my M1A NM a Vietnam era sniper clone, but this ART II is nice enough, and should work just as well, even though its a post-Vietnam scope. Origina Art Ii Scope Mount Serial Number Of The.Origina Art Ii Scope Mount Serial Number Of TheOne interesting thing about the mount is that it has been stamped with the scopes serial 4802 and what I presume was the serial number of the US militarys M14M21 for which it was originally mounted: 1500127, which I think is in the late TRW serial number range.so thats kind-of a neat little artifact from the scopes prior military service.Heres the CMP paperwork from the spring of 1995 (prices have been whited out), and I note that the original purchaser had bought both an ART I scope (redacted, out but still legible if you read carefully, listing Riflescope ART 1, Hopefully complete), as well as this ART II scope.the guy who sold me this scope inherited it, and he didnt know anything about the ART I scope on that old receipt. I recently found one in good working order proper M14 mount, a nice original ART II green scope case, manual, and a photocopy of the original paperwork from CMP circa has a little bit of edge wear on the knobs and turrets, etc, but thats fine with me.
